Where I come from Halloween isn't celebrated, but in this country it's a big deal. So, I got a pumpkin and candy, and even a little witch hat to don on when kids come over tonight trick or treatin'.

Shooting Star
Johnny turned 6 months today and I took these for the occasion. As you can see, I made another bokeh filter, this time a star-shaped one, and I love the result regardless of the skewed exposure settings. Taken in my back yard with the 50mm.

My Adventures in Film
Here's a collection of analog images I took with 3 different cameras in 3 different countries over the span of the past 3 years. Gosh, I love film! I wish I could afford to do it more often... I also want to try my hand in medium format, but that won't happen soon, unless I get lucky enough to find a Rolleiflex of a Hasselbad at a yard sale and the owner doesn't quite know the real cost of twin-reflex cameras :) Until then I'll keep enjoying my Zenit and use it with expired film.

Puppy Eyes
I found this image while browsing through some old collections of mine. I took this back in 2010; we were visiting family friends and I was taken by their dog Phoenix, Just look at that face! And he's playing with something that looks like roadkill, but isn't. For once I really love the processing here, which is a little overdone - like most of my old shots - but it suits it well.
The family also have a cat, and a very photogenic one too, but I can't find its photo right now. The name of the cat is, get this: The Cat.

Cats and Windows
There's something about morning light that gets me really excited. Maybe it's the condensation on the window class, or the sun bunnies, or the promise such light makes for the beautiful day that follows. Add a kitteh sitting on the sill, and you have perfection:
Photo Journal V.2
The iPhone 5 takes pretty great photos... if it wasn't for my bad habit to splash all those low-grade Instagram filters over them. I particularly love the halo that appears when you shoot against the sun.

Funny Flowers
This is representative of how I do all of my photography. It starts with a classic shot of the subject, nothing fancy, standard angles, neat and rather conservative. And it only goes progressively downhill from there, just to end up in a mess of bokeh, flare, and impossible close-ups for which PoV I usually lie on the floor/ground and hold the camera upside down. Enjoy!
P.S. I have no idea what kind of flowers these are. Taken at sunset in my living room.

Bearcat's New Hat
This was a very improvised shoot. The light was beginning to fade, and both Johnny and John were tired after the long day, but I love how it turned out.
Imaginary Cat
Shelby is very skittish, and every time someone comes to visit, she bolts and hides under the bed. Very few people have actually seen her, and my father in law always jokes that I have an imaginary cat.
Here's a photo of her being invisible:
