Small Camera, Big Picture
Once upon a time I was using a point & shoot Kodak that was a present from my mom-in-law. She wanted me to have a camera when John and I moved in London so that I can send her photos. Her plan worked really well - not only I kept my family and friends in the loop of my life's latest adventures (and during those times the adventures were abundant), but I also took enough shots to first master and then outgrow the little camera. Soon afterwards I procured my first DSLR Nikon and the rest is history (and some other time I'll tell you my ancient history of photography, aka "the analog times").
Here are some of my favorite London images taken with the KODAK C875.
Landscapes.
Still Life.
Coffee!
...and Other Beverages.

Have You Seen This Baby? Because He Is Awesome!
The many faces of Johnny V.
I am currently stalking some robins with my 300mm, but for now I only got shots of the empty feeder so far - it's too hot even for the birds! Also, I have a birthday shoot the weekend after the next! It's my first gig since the baby came, and I am excited to go back to work.

Lazycat
Behold Shelby, a very tired from chasing little birdies cat.
A note to self: clean up your iPhone camera lens before you take photos. Still, the finger smudge almost looks like a tilt-shift effect. Almost.

Pretty Kitteh
Some of you are already familiar with my kitteh Shelby. She's Johnny's older adopted sister. I sort of neglected her during these first few weeks after the baby arrived, but I am making amends by giving her free-range organic chicken breast and taking her portrait!

And because I simply can't help it: a baby picture! Johnny is a month old now!

Crazy About You, Baby
Another set of baby photos.
You might expect quite a few of these as I am currently baby crazy, but the good news is that I loaded a roll of Kodak Portra 400 film in my Zenit this morning and soon I'll be posting some analog shots here too.
Johnny is turning out to be a very photogenic kid. He smiled for me today, and he looked impossibly cute in his Daddy's arms. He never looks that way in my arms. Usually he simply demands milk and gives me his red angry face.
The photos of me and Johnny are taken by John.
And yes, I promise to photograph this baby in some other position when I get the chance...

Sweet Child O' Mine
Even though I haven't photographed anything but Johnny lately, I still have the feeling that I am not photographing him nearly enough.
I love how his eyes shine in the morning light.

First Baby Portraits
This is my son Johnny.
He's 9 days old and he's one happy baby. I managed to get over my sleep deprivation today and shot a few frames of him to use for the thank-you cards I want to send out to family and friends.

When Life Gives You Sunshine, Go to the Beach!
Soon, there won't be much time for shooting anything but my own baby, so I went to the beach with my family and made the best of it. The light was impossible (it was high noon), and I only used my 50-300mm, but I had loads of fun nevertheless. Here's Half Moon Bay the way I saw it today. More on my personal blog.
The llama must be my favorite.

I Pink I Can
I haven't used my camera a lot lately - I just feel too pregnant to shoot, but I took the opportunity of my in-law's visit in town yesterday and I took these:
